This combined catalogue was produced as part of the 2000/ 2001 N.E. Dinosaur Coast Project*. It is a combined catalogue for both Scarborough and Whitby Museums.

* The Project partners were Scarborough Museums, Whitby Museum, The North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Museums Council. The project was supported by monies from the European Community and matched funding from the partners.

GROUPS
GROUPS are loosely structured according to their taxonomic classification. Within each group species are presented alphabetically.

STATUS
The following status terms are used:

NUMBER
Fossils located at Scarborough Woodend Museum have numbers prefixed by SCAWM and those at Whitby Museum by WHITM. The collection number follows.

HORIZON
This is the stratigraphy relating to the specimen and is given in as much detail as available in the order lithostratigraphy, biostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy.

LOCALITY
Given in as much detail as it is known

REFERENCES
See the full bibliography for all references. Images from the reference follow the reference itself. The images displayed in the webpages are approximately the same size as the original published images. Further images will be added as they become available.
