Steve Sherlock (freelance archaeologist) A royal Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Street House, near Loftus
Alan Thacker (Victoria County History, University of London) The Anglo-Saxon monastery
Sunday 22nd March 2009 Visits to the stones at Lythe Church and a guided tour of Whitby Abbey

The fee for the day school is likely to be £10, with an additional cost for entry to Whitby Abbey. The fee includes morning coffee and afternoon tea; a reasonably priced buffet lunch in the museum café will be available on Saturday.
