The Museum does not do guided tours because of lack of space. However the Keeper will give talks on the history of the Society and other topics in the Normanby Room by appointment and will arrange for volunteers to be on hand for special bookings to talk about their collections. Allow 1¹/₂ - 2 hours for a visit.

The Normanby Room may be booked by outside groups and Societies both in normal Museum hours and in evenings etc. The Normanby Room seats up to 80 persons cinema style or can be arranged with tables for meetings etc. Hire rates are normally £20 (as from 1st January 2011) per hour or part thereof during the normal Museum opening hours and £25 (as from 1st January 2011) outside normal opening hours (in evenings time must also include an element for opening and closing Museum by the Custodian who will be on hand). The room is equipped with slide projector, audio-visual projector, visualiser and sound system which may be used by outside groups for an additional fee of £5 per session. Contact the Hon.
