Visiting Us - Other Charges

 

Photocopying (carried out by Library Staff)
    Post 1900 items (books, maps, wills,
          pamphlets, journal articles, etc. A4 - 20 p
                                            A3 - 40 p
    Pre 1900 items (as above)               A4 - 40 p
                                            A3 - 80 p
    Oversize items (i.e. larger than A3) difficult
          to photocopy in sections (maps, wills,
          deeds, etc.) £10.00 / hr pro rata
                5 min - £0.75
               10 min - £1.50
               15 min - £2.25

Research

Research fee 
    Research carried out by Library Staff
          for clients                  £10 / hour
    After the first hour time is charged in
          1/2 hourly intervals, i.e.   £ 5 / 1/2 hour

Reproduction Rights for photographs from the
          Museum's Collection
                UK              £30
                UK & Overseas   £60

Postage & Packing
    UK  We use 2nd class unless otherwise specified and
                    charge at cost plus packing
    Overseas  postage is estimated at cost plus packaging and posting

All charges must be pre-paid for postal/email/telephone research
requests.  Please make any (sterling only) cheques payable to
Whitby Literary & Philosophical Society.

Hire of Normanby (Lecture) Room (as from 1st January 2011)
    Per hour or part thereof during normal Museum opening times    £20
    Per hour or part thereof outside normal Museum opening times   £25
    Per session for use of projector equipment                     £ 5
