The Pannett Park Tearoom is open from 10.00 to 4.00 pm from the beginning of February 2010 (date to be confirmed) to late Autumn, Tuesdays to Saturdays inclusive (closed on Sundays). The Tearoom (located in the Museum on the Lower Ground Floor) offers hot & cold drinks, sandwiches, scones, cakes and light refreshments etc. Home baking a speciality.

The Museum will attempt identification of objects (but not estimates of value). Items for identification by Hon. Curators can be left at the desk (please ensure that a temporary entry form is filled in). Gifts of local objects of interest are always welcome.

The Museum runs a quiz (price £1 to enter, prize of £10 book token) based on exhibits currently on display. In summer the quiz is monthly, in winter there is a new quiz every 3 months.

The Library & Archives are open to the public for research at set times. See under Opening Times.

The Museum mounts approximately 3 temporary exhibitions every year.

The Museum adjoins the Pannett Art Gallery which holds temporary exhibitions in summer and houses permanent exhibitions of local artists.
